Confessions of a Former Retail Lender #4
“You are only worth what you produce”
Retail taught me that my worth was directly tied to my monthly production. And while this was great to light the fire, it wasn’t great for my self-image.
What changed?
I stopped letting my value be measured by how many loans I closed or my total volume. Now I do my best to “win” every day.
Sometimes that doesn’t show up in my pipeline report.
Sometimes it comes from a good conversation, learning something new, or just doing an action better than before.
Now before I leave my office for the day I do something. Everyday.
“Today was awesome, I accomplished X” and I say one thing that I did to add to myself, my business, my family, my legacy.
You aren’t worth what you produce. You are worth everything.
Blake out.
